The new trailer can be seen on the official site using the date of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, 7201969.
The latest trailers offers audience members their best look yet at the sci-fi odyssey. Matthew McConaughey stars in “Interstellar”—he plays a scientist and father who is asked to go on a space expedition to discover new habitable worlds as earth is slowly dying.
Like most Christopher Nolan films outside of the tidbits revealed in the three trailers released and the official synopsis, not much beyond that is known of the project—but boy, is it some interesting and deeply emotional tidbits.
2014 has been an abysmal summer for Hollywood at the box office—so do not be surprised if Nolan’s “Interstellar” blasts off financially and critically—as moviegoers have been hungry for a smart blockbuster that was noticeably MIA this summer.
Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey surprised San Diego Comic-Con patrons this past weekend to present new footage and talk the film—the two strayed away from plot details, however, McConaughey said, “it’s by far the most ambitious film Mr. Nolan has directed.”
The film also stars Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace, and John Lithgrow.
