New Internet Champion crowned at Booker T's Reality of Wrestling event

Every month, WWE star Booker T runs a promotion at the Clear Lake City Recreation Center. If you've never been, it is highly encouraged that you do so. This past Saturday night, Booker's Reality of Wrestling crew was back in action, and a new champion was crowned.

To open things up, Abel Andrew Jackson squared off with "Sexy" Steve DeMarco. This was a fast-paced match to kick things off. DeMarco seemed to have things in hand, when he had Jackson ready to walk out. DeMarco chased after Jackson and brought him back to the ring. But when DeMarco went to step back into the ring, Jackson kicked the ropes into DeMarco's groin. It was all academic at that point as Jackson covered him and picked up the win.

The always charismatic Kelly Kevin made his way to the for a match with Gabe Hollier. Kelly took control early, but Gabe was quick to cut him off. He backed Kelly into the corner and delivered a series of kicks. After a hard side slam, Gabe confronted the referee about what he thought was a slow count. Moments later, he delivered two big suplexes. But as he attempted a third, Kelly countered out of it and rolled Gabe up for the surprise win.

The ROW Internet Championship was on the line, as the hard-hitting Jared Steel put the gold on the line against Kid Ransom. Steel wasted no time getting started, as he backed the challenger into the corner and started choking him. Steel dominated most of the match, leaving Ransom to later admit that he blackout several times from the abuse he took. But Ransom would make the Clear Lake crowd happy, as he delivered a thunderous spinebuster from the middle turnbuckle. It put Steel down, and allowed Ransom to make the pin to become the brand new Internet Champion.

The Cuban nightmare known as Gustavo Mendoza (with Rubio) took on Andrew Lockhart. Gustavo slowed the match down early, to keep advantage in his control. He kept Andrew against the ropes until Andrew escaped and managed to clothesline Gustavo to the outside. After he returned to the ring, he turned things back around. Andrew would try to stage another comeback, but Gustavo shut him down with a Boston Crab to earn a submission victory.

"The Rockstar" Robbie Gilmore faced off with Ayden Cristiano (with Reyna) next. Robbie had to constantly be on the defensive, while keeping Reyna from interfering in the match. This was a back and forth contest throughout, with Cristiano hitting a number of high-impact moves. Robbie actually had things well in control towards the end of the match, and was set to go to the top rope to finish his opponent off. But it would be the distraction of Reyna that decided his fate. As Robbie was perched on the top, she snuck up and hit a low blow to knock him off the ropes and onto the mat. Cristiano capitalized with a reverse DDT for the win.

The ROW Heavyweight Championship was on the line Saturday night, as Aussie star Rob Barnes put the gold on the line against a mystery opponent. That person would be Cedric Pain, who made his way to the ring enclosed in a straight jacket Rob took full advantage of that at the bell, viciously attacking Cedric while he was unable to defend himself. Finally, Cedric couldn't take any further abuse and fought out of the jacket. He connected on a series of clotheslines, and a big body splash. But the damage was already done, as Rob was able to follow up shortly after with a brutal knee to the face to put Cedric down for the pin. Barnes retains the gold in relatively quick fashion.

"Ruthless" Ryan Davidson was up next, as he took on crowd favorite John Deere. Davidson jumped Deere at the bell, and sent him to the outside. Deere was able to take over after getting back to the ring, scoring with an atomic drop and an elbow smash. He sent Davidson into the ropes, but was met with a boot to the face. Deere threw everything he had at Davidson, but ultimately fell to a crushing lariat from Davidson. The result is an impressive win for the "Ruthless" one.

Up next, TJ Ramirez squared off with Alex Villarreal. This was a very fast-paced match, with both utilizing their speed and aerial abilities to thrill the crowd. Early on, Ramirez hit Alex with a hurricanrana that sent him to the floor. Ramirez then climbed to the top rope and delivered a high cross body down to the floor. Later in the match, Ramirez would finish off Alex with a swanton bomb for the pin. After the match, Ayden Cristiano and Reyna made their way to the ring to confront him, but Cristiano walked away without incident.

The Pride stepped into the ring for a match against Erick Lockhart. Most of this match was dominated by Pride, as he pounded Lockhart throughout the match. Lockart had a brief offensive burst early on, but it was quickly shut down. Pride would finish him off with a death valley driver to get the pin.

The main event was set, as Mitch Baxter faced Jasper "The Hammer" Davis for the #1 Contendership to the ROW Championship. Before the match got started, Sharmell made her way down the aisle and informed the crowd that she wants to give the fans what they want. So she turned the match into a lumberjack match. The ROW locker room then emptied out and surrounded the ring.

Jasper started with a quick headlock, and turned it into an armbar. Baxter shoved Jasper to the ropes, but was met with a shoulder block. Baxter was on target minutes later with a dropkick that sent Jasper to the outside.

Back in the ring, Baxter hung Jasper upside down in the corner and leveled him with a dropkick. After a bodyslam, Mitch moved to the top rope. But Ryan Davidson started taunting him, which allowed Jasper to shove him off the top and to the floor. The lumberjacks started kicking him and threw him back into the ring. Jasper took advantage with a suplex, and then a kick to the face.

Seconds later, all of the lumberjack started brawling around ringside. It didn't distract Baxter, who was able to get back into control and deliver a running boot to the face of Jasper. But when he charged Jasper, he was caught with a Catatonic Slam. Jared Steel and Steve DeMarco started brawling in the ring, which caused referee Scott Zenzen to call for the bell.

The match had been thrown out as a full-scale riot ensued between everybody at ringside. With a large gathering outside, Baxter climbed to the top rope and delivered a huge somersault onto everybody. The move floored everybody that was at ringside, and they they started brawling again. Officials had to separate everybody as the night came to a close.

The next event is scheduled for Saturday, February 9 at the Clear Lake City Recreation Center. For more information, check out the official ROW website.
