A new teaser quote from Insurgent, the second installment to Veronica Roth's Divergent Trilogy due on shelves May 1st, has been unveiled.
From the Divergent Facebook page came this new quote:
"He kisses me again, more insistent this time, his hands squeezing my waist. His breaths, his body, my body, we are so close there is no difference."
Juicy, right?
This is the second teaser quote to be unveiled this year. The first, which was revealed in mid-January, was as follows:
"Before I chose Dauntless...I felt assured of my long lifespan, if nothing else. Now there are no reassurances except that where I go, I go because I choose to."
Four other teasers lines, shared by Veronica Roth herself while revising the draft for Insurgent last summer, were:
- Teaser 1: "Did you just call me BEATRICE?”
- Teaser 2: “You look older.” “Yes, well, the passage of time tends to do that to a person.”
- Teaser 3: "The other factions are far more prominent in the next book, since Tris is less secluded."
- Teaser 4: "My dear girl. I am his family. I am permanent. You are only temporary."
Is May here yet?
UPDATE (2/10): Another new teaser was shared on the Divergent Facebook page today: "I point at a window to my left, and it explodes. Particles of glass rain over us. ‘You’ll have to do better than that,” I say.'"
UPDATE (2/17): Divergent Facebook shared yet another teaser today. Here it is:
"Caleb runs up to me and folds me carefully in his arms. I breathe a sigh of relief. I thought I had gotten to the point where I didn’t need my brother anymore, but I don’t think such a point actually exists. "
