New information about the July deaths of Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi has been uncovered and raises questions. The police believe that Sahel Kazemi shot McNair, then shot herself in his Nashville condo on July 4. The couple had been dating for eight months and the police believed that Kazemi was having financial problems and was unable to pay her bills.

CBS News uncovered bank statements that show Kazemi's balance was over $2500 and she had enough money to pay her bills. They have also spoken to friends who said that she wasn't the unhappy person the police were making her out to be, but that she was in general a very happy person.

New information about Steve McNair has also been uncovered; he was married and in addition to Kazemi, he was having another affair with Leah Ignagni. McNair was paying for another woman's apartment. He co-signed a lease for his cousin, and would pay the rent in person each month, but a few months ago it was discovered that his cousin was not living in the apartment.

McNair's large estate is in probate in Mississippi and Tennessee because he did not have a will. He reportedly made over $90 million in pro football salary in the last 13 years, and additional money from marketing deals.

According to Fox News 13 in Salt Lake City, Nashville police released text messages on October 19th that were exchanged between Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi several hours before the murder in July to defend their position. For a detailed account of those text messages, click here.
