The amphitheater at Centennial’s Center Park is getting a new stage cover and electrical upgrades to enhance performances this summer. The city is also adding a loading pathway from Peakview Avenue to the amphitheater to make it easier for performer’s to load and unload their equipment.

Other improvements include new shade structures at the play area and another picnic shelter at the south end of the park.

The summer entertainment season will kick off on Saturday, June 7, with a free concert featuring “The Long Run”, an Eagles tribute band, Katey Laurel and a youth band from the School of Rock.

Other summer events include a Friday film festival every other week in June and July and the annual Centennial Under the Stars laser light show in August. For a full list of events and information on how to reserve the picnic areas go to the City of Centennial's website.
