New I-15 ramp work not close to end

The turn to the I-15 on Hillery Drive off Westview Parkway stays blocked. Construction workers take advantage of the mid-Spring fair weather, lengthening the bridge ramp right around to the highway, and, strengthening the deck.

Rocks still fill the short stretch on the drive just east of Westview Parkway.

On the westbound lanes heading towards Black Mountain Road, a mile south of Mira Mesa Boulevard, road workers dig out the community frontages along the drive. Pylons keep traffic away from the right lanes and the road widening work, and tie up traffic.

After the road and bridge ramp construction are done, Hillery Drive will handle more traffic in the Mira Mesa neighborhood on the other side of the highway from Jerome's Furniture. Traffic delays at the Mira Mesa Boulevard ramps, and on the Westview Parkway shoping blocks, will thin out.
