Want to be a race car driver? Future racers can check out the New Humberstone Speedway’s Crash For Cash Series. The popular Port Colborne, Ontario oval will host a number of races each night of the series, including Enduros, Backwards Races, U-Turn Elimination Races, Flag Pole Races, Enduro-Cross Races and more, including Vintage Cars and Spectator One-On-One Races.

“We will hold five Crash For Cash events per night with each event running heats and features,” said Director of Race Night Operations Clinton Geoffrey.

The Crash For Crash Series takes place Wednesday nights, July 9th and 23rd and August 6th and 20th. Admission is just $5 for the grandstands, $10 for the pits and $35 driver entry fee. The payout for each event will be $150 to win, $100 for second, $75 for third, $50 for fourth and $25 for fifth place.

The cars allowed to compete in the series include 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder Enduro type cars all running together, similar to the Eve of Destruction. “These are the events that turn fans into racers,” said Geoffrey. “A lot of our Sunday night veterans turned their first laps in fun Enduro type races just like this.”

The Crash For Cash Series gives fans the opportunity to race against other newcomers and veterans that race at Humberstone and many other local tracks. “It is no secret that some of the biggest stars in our area still love to get behind the wheel of an Enduro car,” said Geoffrey.

The New Humberstone Speedway’s on-track season begins with two practice sessions open to all cars that will be competing at Humberstone in 2014 on Wednesday, April 23rd at 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 27th at 2 p.m. The track’s 55th season of racing begins Sunday, May 4th with a 55-lap race for the DIRTcar Sportsman plus the RUSH Late Models, Street Stocks, Pro 4 Trucks and the Mini Stocks. Gates open at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. every Sunday night. Find the complete 2014 schedule at
