New Humberstone Speedway opens for 2014 season on May 4th

New Humberstone Speedway celebrates the track’s 55th Season Opener this Sunday, May 4th, with racing to get underway at 6 p.m. Admission for opening night will be $5.55 for adults to celebrate its 55th season of racing.

Racing action will be headlined by a 55-lap feature for the PC Works DIRTcar Sportsman, while the Cosco Haulage RUSH Late Models will be racing in a 20-lap feature. The JC Auto Street Stocks will compete in a 20-lap event, with the TC Decals Mini Stocks and the Mike Knapp Ford Pro 4 Trucks both racing in 15-lap feature events.

Opening night will see an open draw format for all divisions. “Everyone has an equal chance to be on the poll,” states Humberstone Speedway Director of Public and Media Relations Steven Petty.

Gates open for both the pits and the grandstands at 4 p.m., with racing getting underway at 6 p.m. The New Humberstone Speedway is located two miles east of Port Colborne on Highway 3, 17 miles west of the US/Canadian Border at the Peace Bridge (Buffalo/Fort Erie). For more information, visit
