Creative Networks at myGreencard.com just announced the eleventh edition of Win the Green Card Lottery! The COMPLETE Do-It-Yourself Guide. Written for both calendar year 2013 (“DV-2015”) winners and 2014 (“DV-2016”) entrants, this annual guide is the most successful book ever devoted to the U.S. Diversity Visa Program.
Now available at Google Plus, this new 2014 edition explains personal and residential requirements in more detail than on the U.S. State Department and USCIS federal government websites. It includes the latest suggestions that can prevent entrants from being accidentally disqualified, what to do if out of status, and other ways to get a green card.
This latest guide includes qualifying O*Net occupations, complete photo guidelines, immigration resources, how and when to use lottery services and immigrant attorneys, and more; plus everything winners need to know. With dozens of suggestions to help applicants navigate the complicated USA immigration process, this latest edition also includes when to send in multiple applications, what to do if a person is out of status, how to understand the monthly State Department Visa Bulletin, choosing consular processing versus adjustment of status, how to avoid costly and time-consuming pitfalls throughout the process, and more ─ including tips for completing the newly-required DS-260 Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application for green card lottery winners.
Although the existence of the 2014 green card (diversity visa) lottery has been in some doubt due to pending immigration reform legislation, recent statements by influential House Republicans and Democrats alike cast significant doubt whether reform will pass in time to kill this year’s lottery. According to Thomas Smith, Customer Service Manager of US Green Card Office, a United Kingdom-based ethical green card lottery service provider:
Those who failed to win last year’s lottery can easily register for the calendar year 2014 lottery now. We process both digital and analog photos, save the applicant’s official confirmation number, and provide notification to winners.
Entrants from last year’s 2013 green card lottery “DV-2015” can now check on-line at the U.S. State Department’s “Electronic Diversity Visa” Entrant Status Check (ESC) web site to see if they won. Applicants need just three pieces of information from their green card lottery registration: Confirmation Number, Family Name (Last Name), and Birth Year. A confirmation number was provided for those who successfully entered the diversity visa lottery last fall. It is a 16-character number, similar to this: 2015lO0DZWY1DOV9.
Whether the applicant uses a paid lottery service or enters themselves, Win the Green Card Lottery! The COMPLETE Do-It-Yourself Guide can be a useful reference for entrants and an indispensable guide for winners. A free version consisting of the first three chapters is now available on myGreencard’s free downloads page.
