Aldie Mill and Chapman/Beverly Mill are two historic landmarks in eastern Loudoun County and western Prince William County, respectively. Recently, a real-estate developer named Jack Andrews announced plans to create a park that would link the two mills via an equestrian trail.
However, Andrews' vision faces numerous obstacles. The Virginia Outdoors Foundation has its own plans to connect the mills with trails, to which Andrews' proposal runs counter. Additionally, authorities in Loudoun have halted Andrews' developments near Aldie Mill over concerns about environmental impact, and his failure to obtain necessary permits.
