New 'Harry Potter' book covers: New covers celebrate 15 years of magic

To celebrate the Muggle world enjoying 15 years of the famous “Harry Potter” books, Yahoo News reported this Wednesday, Feb. 13, that J.K. Rowling and Scholastic Books have just revealed the first new book cover of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” All seven “Harry Potter’s” will get a new cover this 2013, so fans certainly have reason to be excited.

All seven of the newly designed covers will be available in paperback by Sept. 2013, and are reported to “portray a very powerful moment” from each of the popular books. The first of the new covers for “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” certainly shows the great memory of Hagrid showing Harry around to find wizarding supplies for the first time in Diagon Alley.

Fans will also have the opportunity to buy the new “Harry Potter” books’ covers in a full boxed set in Sept. as well, to commemorate 15 years since the release of J.K. Rowling’s multi-billion dollar book and movie franchise. (Speaking of movies, the new “Harry Potter” mini-film in Universal Studios is still under wraps).

If anything, the new “Harry Potter” designs seem to offer a modern touch to the classic illustrations found throughout this great story, and it might just be reason enough to find a quiet afternoon and open the first page about Privet Drive to enjoy the magic of the “Harry Potter” series again.
