Rockstar Games patched Grand Theft Auto 5 recently in an effort to permanently block future GTA Online glitch and exploits from happening. According to a report by GTAOnliner from Jan. 19, players have discovered a new infinite money glitch in GTA Online following the release of GTA 5 patch 1.09 last week. The new infinite money glitch is activated by getting an insured vehicle impounded. However, this latest glitch isn’t as simple as previous GTA Online infinite money glitches.

Despite Rockstar Games’ best efforts, GTA Online players are actively searching for new ways and methods of gaining infinite cash. In response to GTA 5 patch 1.09, players have found a new infinite money glitch in GTA Online and it appears that players are once again starting to collect great wealth in Grand Theft Auto 5’s online multiplayer.

The new GTA Online infinite money glitch is based upon a vehicle duplication glitch found in the game’s impounding service. By having an insured car impounded, players can request to have a new car as they respawn.

To perform the glitch correctly, though, players will need to act quick and request their personal vehicle, which the game will recognize as the impounded car. The car impounded will be destroyed, allowing players to replace it, while keeping the car brought to them.

Performing the glitch correctly successfully duplicates the car, freeing players up to sell the duplication for extra money.

Though the glitch has worked for some, GTAOnliner notes that there have been reports that the glitch doesn’t work for everyone. You can find step-by-step introductions on how to perform the car duplication glitch on GTAOnliner.

Those caught cheating in GTA Online risk the possibility of being permanently banned from the service. Rockstar Games launched GTA Online launched for PS3 and Xbox 360 in Oct. 2013.
