People got a hefty helping of new information concerning Grand Theft Auto V and its storyline over the last few days following a leak on Sony’s PlayStation Network -- some people were able to download the game and access certain the game assets. In spite of the recent leak, Rockstar is still going about business as usual and announced on Aug. 27 that the company will have a new GTA V trailer to share with everyone on Aug. 29.
Dubbed ‘The Official Trailer for Grand Theft Auto V,’ this trailer should get people hyped for the title’s Sept. 17 release for PS3 and Xbox 360. The Official Trailer for Grand Theft Auto V is expected to release during the morning hours tomorrow.
In addition to Rockstar announcing a new trailer, Sony Computer Entertainment issued an official apology over the GTA V leak on PSN. The company apologizes to those who were exposed to Grand Theft Auto V spoilers.
Regrettably, some people who downloaded the digital pre-order of Grand Theft Auto V through the PlayStation Store in Europe were able to access certain GTA V assets. These assets were posted online. We have since removed the digital pre-order file from the PlayStation Store in Europe. We sincerely apologize to Rockstar and GTA fans across the world who were exposed to the spoiler content. GTA V is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year with a very passionate following, and we’re looking forward to a historic launch on September 17.
Grand Theft Auto V will be released on Sept. 17 for PS3 and Xbox 360. The digital version of GTA V will require 18GB of PS3 HDD space.
