Rockstar Games has been at the forefront of the top news in gaming over the past few weeks and today continues that trend with the company releasing more GTA 5 screenshots, in addition to the announcement of a Special and Collector's Edition of the game.
In a release sent to Examiner.com today, some brand-new screenshots have been revealed as have two new special editions of GTA 5. The new GTA 5 screens are the first three in the slideshow.
GTA 5's Special and Collector's Editions will be providing players with a host of in-game enhancements and accessories for each of the game's three protagonists. Players will also be gaining benefits for their character in Grand Theft Auto Online.
Both versions will be providing two unique weapons at the always popular gun-store of Ammu-Nation, at no additional cost. The two guns in particular are the .50 Caliber Pistol and the Bullpup Shotgun. Players will also be able to get their hands on a hammer for those who enjoy building a house, right?
The Special and Collector's Editions of GTA 5 will also feature unique outfits and tattoos for players to load their characters up with. Each of the three main protagonists in GTA 5 will receive a shirt, hoodie and jacket, an interesting haircut, differing facial hair and a tattoo.
The Collector's Edition will only allow GTA Online players to choose their character's parent's heritage, decide how much those genes dominate the player, customizable daily activities, Niko Bellic and Claude and Misty from GTA III.
The Editions of GTA 5 will also allow special ability boosts for all three protagonists, which are activated as soon as each fills up the Special Ability meter. Michael's skill is being a marksman, Franklin is an extremely skiled driver and Trevor is a psycho with a short fuse. For both Editions, the bar will generate 25% faster than people who do not purchase the Editions.
Next, players will be able to take part in GTA 5 Stunt Plane Trials. There will be five challenges that take players through the mountains, deserts, oceans and cities of GTA 5. Complete the trials will improve the flying ability of each character.
Finally, the Collector's Edition will feature an exclusive garage where gamers can store custom vehicles. The garage will already come with a CarbonRS sports bike and Hotknife, which is a 1930's style hotrod. For GTA Online, players will be able to enjoy the top-of-the-line Khamelion electric car.
