A few weeks ago, the Natural Products Expo West was held in Anaheim, CA and over 3,000 exhibits featuring the latest and greatest in food, health and beauty were in attendance.

Many of the brands at the expo also unveiled a lot of new products that would be hitting the market soon, with many of them being gluten-free. Here are some great gluten-free items you can look forward to hitting your shelves this summer.

Mary's Gone Crackers:

All of the products at Mary's Gone Crackers are already gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan, but the team at Mary's has taken it one step further and created two new SOY-free crackers that are perfect for anyone with soy allergies. The two new cracker flavors are the Hot 'n Spicy Jalapeno and the Super Seed, and are loaded with lots of great ingredients such as sunflower seeds, seaweed, flaxseed, and pumpkin seed to name a few. Both of these crackers are set to hit shelves in June/July this year.

Mary's also debuted their brand new Graham Crackers at Expo West, which are sure to be a hit among kids and adults. The grahams are gluten-free and made with a special gluten-free flour blend and also contain healthy fats such as coconut oil. Each serving also contains 3g of fiber. The graham crackers should be hitting stores later this year.


Sambazon, best known for their superfood acai juice has new smoothies hitting store shelves that pack a nutrient punch.

The Blended Breakfast Smoothie is made with ancient gluten-free grains such as amaranth, quinoa and chia and has a soymilk base with delicious bananas, strawberries and acai berries mixed in. This is a great alternative to traditional cereal, with 6g a fiber per serving.

The Supergreens Smoothie contains kale, ginger, amazing grass and acai berries to name a few. This powerhouse is a perfect way to get some extra fruits and veggies into your daily diet.

The Chocolate + Almond + Coconut Milk Protein Smoothie is a great recovery drink for after a hard workout or when you just need a little protein boost. It's a decadent tasting drink with ingredients that are good for you!

The Mocha Java Energy Smoothie is a nice alternative to your traditional cup 'o joe. Each bottle contains 80mg organic caffeine and 9g whole food protein. It's the perfect way to get a natural energy boost.

Bob's Red Mill:

Bob's Red Mill is a staple in the gluten-free world (all of their gluten-free products are developed in a separate facility) and has everything from gluten-free baking mixes to gluten-free cereals and flour. Bob's is now introducing the "Nine Grains of Discovery" which are nine different ancient grains that have great ingredient profiles.

While not all of the grains are gluten-free, five of them are and you can look for these in stores at the end of June.

Organic Amaranth - A gluten-free seed that contains essential amino acids along with dietary fiber, iron and magnesium.

Millet – A naturally gluten-free grain derived from ancient China that is a great filler for breads or even as a cereal replacement.

Organic Quinoa – One of the more popular gluten-free sees that is native to South America. Quinoa is very high in protein can can be used as a replacement for pasta.

Sorghum – A gluten-free hearty whole grain that originating from Africa. It's a great addition to a salad or pilaf dish.

Teff – Teff is a gluten-free grain that originated in Ethiopia and is high in fiber, protein, iron and calcium and works as a nice addition to baked goods.

All of the gluten-free products listed above can be found at your local supermarket starting this summer and into the rest of this year.
