Insomniac Games' first post-Sony undertaking has had a rocky road, thus far.
Debuting as "Overstrike" more than two years ago, their new four-player co-op title -- now dubbed "Fuse" -- has been rebranded and remade so much that it barely resembles its original trailer. The 60s style stylized visuals from the debut were replaced with fairly generic character models and robots that looked like they were ripped straight from a Michael Bay film.
With the game releasing this summer, the studio is cranking up its public relations train to get the word out about the somewhat under-represented title. Insomniac released a series of new screenshots Thursday that go a long way toward showcasing the color and style that was originally lost.
"FUSE" doesn't yet have a set release date, but will be released some time this summer on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
