Several rumored details have popped up online in regards to the upcoming Playstation 3 exclusive title, “Final Fantasy Versus XIII.” According to a report by The Silent Chief on Feb. 2, the action role-playing game will be getting a name change. Furthermore, the development has been moved from the Playstation 3 to the next-generation. Square Enix is also expected to do another unveiling this year with an announcement that the project will be released sometime in 2014. “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” was first announced as one of the three initial games to be based on the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythology series. The other two were “Final Fantasy XIII” and “Final Fantasy Agito XIII,” which were later renamed to “Final Fantasy Type-0.” Square Enix 1st Production Department is responsible for developing the action role-playing game while Square Enix will be handling the publishing duties.
