The exhibit "Trails to Rails: John Mix Stanley and the Pacific Railroad Survey of the 1850s" features mostly works created by John Mix Stanley while accompanying a railroad survey that was part of planning the transcontinental railroad. The lithographs in the exhibit feature works that documented the terrain, inhabitants, plants, and wildlife.
About the Tucson Museum of Art: This museum is located at 140 N. Main Avenue, Tucson, AZ. The hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday; and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10 for general, $8 for seniors (65+), $5 for college students, and free for members, high school students, ages 18 and under, and active military or veteran with ID. The first Sunday of every month is free for everyone.
