The new exhibit "Santa Muerte Music & Art Festival 2013" opens at the Sacred Machine Museum opens on Saturday, September 14, 2013. The exhibit features artwork from 22 artists and is part of the 4th annual festival that showcases underground musicians and celebrates southwest folklore. The exhibit is expected to remain on display through November 3, 2013.
The "Santa Muerte Musix & Art Festival 2013" will kick off with an opening celebration from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013. Musicians featured at this event will include Blind Divine, The Modeens, Joe Pena, King Bowser, and Alma Mexicana Mariachi. There will also be a finale music celebration on November 3, 2013 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
About the Sacred Machine Museum: This museum and curiosity shop features Tucson artist and musician Danile Martin Diaz's artwork as well as artwork done by other local and international artists that work in the Low-Brow, Outsider, Visionary, and Pop-Surrealist genres. The museum's regular hours are 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays.
