A new temporary exhibit called "Madelyn Cook: A Retrospective" opens at the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. This exhibit features 12 pieces that represent her career from the 1970s to the 2000s. The exhibit is expected to remain on display through June 1, 2014. It is free with paid or member admission to the museum.
"Madelyn Cook: A Retrospective" provides a look at miniatures created throughout her three decade career as a miniature craftsperson. Madelyn Cook was inspired by the German A Chrsitmas Garden display her grandparents put under two Christmas trees. The exhibit includes 12 rooms that she created and later donated to the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures.
About the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures: The Mini Time Machine Museum has a variety of miniature displays including a fairy Enchanted Forest themed area. The museum regularly has events for kids on Saturdays that include making miniature crafts. The museum is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The first Thursdays of the month the museum is open until 8 p.m.
