New exhibit: 'From Real to Surreal' at U of A Museum of Art

The new temporary exhibit called "From Real to Surreal" opens at the University of Arizona Museum of Art on Friday, January 10, 2014. The exhibit highlights the variety of the museum's collection from realistic to surrealistic pieces. The exhibit is expected to remain on display through April 28, 2014.

"From Real to Surreal" features a sampling of works of art donated to the museum from a variety of donors between 1950 and 2005. The exhibit features both American and European art from the 19th and 20th centuries.

About the University of Arizona Museum of Art: The museum is located on the U of A campus near Park Ave and Speedway Blvd. The museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is $5 for adults. Children, active military, museum members, American Association of Museums members, and U of A students, faculty, and staff get in free with proper ID.
