I'm both an animal lover and an art fan. So when I originally found out about the new exhibit opening at The Lab in Costa Mesa on November 7th, it definitely resonated with me as something important to check out. And when I was informed that 80% of the art sales during the exhibit would benefit the Humane Society of the United States, I was even more sold on the idea.
'Animal Instinct' features art of various mediums including sculpture, painting, photography. This art, a collaborative of over twenty-five different artists, is completely focused on animals.
From the press release:
Featuring the work of over 25 artists celebrating the beauty & wonder of animals with sculpture, photography, graffiti-influenced work, prints (including etching & letterpress), crochet, plush, paintings & more.
The official opening reception is slated for November 7th from 7-11pm and includes complimentary food and beverages, live music and painting, as well as raffles by sponsors like Urban Decay and Humanitaire. Admission is completely free for anyone who wishes to attend.
