The new exhibit called "A Show of Hands" opens at the Tucson Museum of Art on Saturday, September 21, 2013. The exhibit features artwork that focus on hands. The exhibit is expected to remain on display through February 9, 2014.
"A Show of Hands" features a variety of artwork that feature hands. The artwork on display in the exhibit includes paintings, photos, works on paper, and sculptures. There is modern, contemporary, and Latin American folk art in the exhibit. Some of the artists with works in the exhibit are Alice Briggs, Enrique Chagoya, Robert Colescott, Dan Collins, Bailey Doogan, Christopher Pelley, Craig Smith, Buffie Saint-Marie, and others.
About the Tucson Museum of Art: This museum is located at 140 N. Main Avenue, Tucson, AZ. The hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday; and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10 for general, $8 for seniors (65+), $5 for college students, and free for members, high school students, ages 18 and under, and active military or veteran with ID. The first Sunday of every month is free for everyone.
