Today, Bethesda Softworks posted a new trailer entitled, “The Alliances” for their upcoming MMO, Elder Scrolls Online. The full video can be seen in this article as well as on the official website and YouTube. Their latest installment of the Elder Scrolls series, Skyrim, has been a huge success and they are hoping that ESO brings both long time Elder scrolls fans and MMO fans together in one game. Zenimax Online is developing the game and closed beta signups have just recently been made available. Fans of the series and new players will be able to test the game instead of speculating. Some long time fans of the series are weary of how well the game will be made and if the developers will have to sacrifice most of what makes the Elder Scrolls series unique in order to fit an MMO.
Like every new MMO out there, ESO has and will continue to receive some negative feedback from people and doubts, but only time and personal experience can make up players minds. When beta starts, much more news of how the game plays and the players’ reactions will be revealed. What is known is that there are three different alliances, Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, and Ebonheart Pact. The game takes place 1,000 years before the Skyrim game, during the Age of Heroes, and these three alliances fight against the Empire and each other for control of the Imperial city. More details can be found on their official website. There is no telling now how well the game will do, but is has been voted numerous times for Most Anticipated MMO of 2013.
