New dinosaur coming in 'Jurassic Park IV'

The "Jurassic Park" franchise is getting a new dinosaur. On Thursday, April 4 USA Today revealed that a new dinosaur will be debuting in the upcoming action sequel "Jurassic Park IV" which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 13, 2014. The Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment film will be directed by Colin Trevorrow, with Steven Spielberg serving as an executive producer.

Fans can be assured that the newest sequel will include appearances by the Tyrannosaurus Rex and velociraptors in addition to the mysterious new dinosaur. Paleontologist Jack Horner, who worked as an adviser on the previous films, mentioned people will "want to keep the lights on" after seeing the film. No other hints about what scary pair of teeth will be screaming towards the audience have been released.

Based on the 1993 novel by Michael Crichton, the story follows a group of scientists who are trapped in an adventure park after the dinosaurs escape. The original film "Jurassic Park" will be released in 3D nationwide on Friday, April 5. Spielberg filmed the first movie with the idea of 3D in mind, with the dinosaur chasing the audience and other suspenseful close ups.
