New Diet Coke hunk: Andrew Cooper laughs off buzz

People are buzzing about the new Diet Coke hunk seen in the latest ad for the soft drink. The man at the center of the buzz is British model Andrew Cooper, and it seems he's getting quite a kick out of all the attention. He chatted with the crew of “Good Morning America” on Jan. 29, and those who enjoy the ad will get a kick out of the segment.

The Diet Coke hunk's ad is a throwback to the 1994 ad featuring Lucky Vanous. Cooper, 32, is featured in the ad named “The Gardner” that has women swooning. Andrew Cooper has done a number of modeling campaigns, including ones for Giorgio Armani, Bally and Louis Vuitton. The Daily Mail notes that Cooper is married and he owns the pet store The Mutz Nutz with his wife Jane. They live in a farmhouse in England with their two children.

The new ad was launched this week to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of Diet Coke. The Diet Coke hunk is definitely getting the campaign off to a buzzworthy start, and fans hope there is more of Andrew Cooper to come on the small screen. He seems to have a great sense of humor, judging from his GMA appearance. Cooper says his wife loves the new ad, and since he travels a lot she has it on replay quite a bit. Good-looking, humble and a sense of humor. No wonder women are swooning over this Diet Coke hunk!
