Like the old frame DCI judge foil Sword of Light and Shadow, the new DCI judge foil Karmic Guide is a staple in the Commander format. Specifically, Karmic Guide makes a great inclusion in a Kaalia of the Vast deck.
Originally printed in Urza's Legacy, Karmic Guide has been in numerous casual combo decks. With two Karmic Guides and an Ashnod's Altar, one can make infinite colorless mana. Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker (which can be found in From the Vault: Legends) can also be used to create combos with Karmic Guide.
In an idealistic hand, you'll be able to double cast Dark Ritual, then play Buried Alive (which can be found in Premium Deck Series: Graveborn). The key is to search for Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Karmic Guide, and Court Hussar. Use the last two mana to play Exhume on Karmic Guide, reanimating Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker. Tap Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker to copy Karmic Guide, reanimating Court Hussar. Court Hussar will untap all of your creatures. Make infinite copies of Court Hussar with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker. Attack with your horrifying horde of haste creatures.
