Two new dates were added Wednesday to the Peter Tork "In This Generation: My Life in the Monkees and So Much More" tour, a spokesman for the tour, which begins May 3 in Buffalo, N.Y., said. The new shows added are the Triple Door in Seattle on June 12 and the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on June 14. The spokesman said a show in Los Angeles will also be added shortly.
Representatives from two of the venues where Peter Tork will be visiting on the tour have said ticket sales have been very enthusiastic.
Ron Storm of the Iridium said, “"People are responding to fact that this is a great show in an intimate setting. The Monkees recently sold out the Beacon Theatre, and just a few months later Peter Tork is bringing a whole new Monkees-oriented event to Iridium for its debut. We're delighted we could add a date due to the tremendous demand for the show. "
Bruce Ranes, who books the Sellersville 1894 Theatre, said, “Sellersville Theater is looking forward to Peter Tork returning, this time his telling the Monkees story from inception through today. It’s a must see and hear for fans of all ages as ticket sales got off to a strong start!”
