Movie fans in Scottsdale have months to wait for the release of The Dark Knight Rises to theaters, but the news from the production keeps coming in. On Tuesday, Caught on Set had even more photos from the set of the film featuring Tom Hardy and Christian Bale. Both are out of costume in these newly released images. If you missed any of the previously released photos or spoilers for this film, go here.
Tom Hardy is the man behind Bane, and he is seen wearing a mask throughout the film. However, in these new photos the mask is missing. When he was first cast in the film, Christopher Nolan was concerned the actor would not want to wear a mask. According to Caught on Set, Tom Hardy said the following about his initial contact with Nolan about the role:
"Chris rings and says, 'I'm not sure if it's your sort of thing because it would mean wearing a mask. How do you feel about wearing a mask as an actor?' How do I feel about wearing a mask? I'd wear a plastic bag over my head for Chris! I'll do anything for him. I did not see that coming. I never, ever thought I'd be in Batman."
Fans are waiting for this film to arrive in theaters, and they are talking about it on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
Currently watching #BatmanAndRobin . Don't know why Nolan is doing Bane as a villain in #DarkKnightRises Bane is portrayed perfectly in B+R
The Dark Knight Rises will arrive in Scottsdale theaters in July 2012.
