After six long years of waiting, the much anticipated soon-to-be “Cupertino Main Street” has its official groundbreaking event on Sunday, September 15, 2013. The 17-acre site, located at Stevens Creek and Finch in Cupertino, was formerly owned by Hewlett-Packard Co.
The groundbreaking event on Sunday, September 15, 2013 is from noon to 5 pm and is open to the public.
Peter Pau’s Sand Hill Property Company’s decision to buy the land now looks prescient, especially with the new upcoming “mother ship” campus for Apple Inc. being constructed close by.
Pau reportedly has lined up financing and the necessary approvals on the long-awaited $330 million project, which is a mixed-use retail complex designed to be the city of Cupertino’s “Main Street” of the future.
Cupertino's new "Main Street" will consist of hotel, retail, apartments and offices.
