New 'CSI' cyber crimes spinoff announced Patricia Arquette in lead role

See also announced yesterday, March 5, that CBS has decided to cast Patricia Arquette in the lead role for their new untitled "CSI" cybercrime spin off show.

The show will be introduced as a back door pilot this Aprilin the "CSI" episode "Original Flavor". The network will then make an announcement in May as to whether the show will be a pilot in the fall.

Patricia Arquette will play Special Agent, Avery Ryan. Avery is in charge of the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI. The story will be located in Quantico, VA but the crimes will take place throughout the country. The types of crimes that she will be solving have to deal with a combination of on line and real life situations that really take your mind into a different world and way of questioning reality.

The story is based on the life of the actual producer of the “CSI” series, Cyber Psychologist Mary Aiken.

This is not the first time that Patricia Arquette has played a strong female lead based on a real person. From 2005- 2011, she starred in the hit television show “Medium” where she played Allison DuBois, a real life psychic medium and profiler.

Let’s hope that this show gets the views because it may very well freshen up and modernize the “CSI” franchise.
