It is unbelievable that this series rates only 3 stars....who are they kidding. This is gripping, edge-of-the-seat stuff. Gritty, realistic, brilliantly written and acted. Must rate 5 stars!
I'm thrilled Happy Valley is here for Americans to watch. I was able to watch it when it aired in the UK. Every episode is a hold your breath and hug your knees you are in for a ride. Brilliantly acted, and fantastic writing. A must watch!
I am altogether uncertain why this series hit Netflix with no reviews but only 3 stars. Happy Valley is not for everyone, but it is tightly written and beautifully acted. Sarah Lancashire brings a profound depth and humanity to the role of beleaguered Catherine Cawood, and she is supported by a brilliant cast. If you've the fortitude for genuine police drama, do not miss this show.
