I know what you are thinking.

Another social network to use while you are watching television?

Yes, but with a twist.

Launching today, Monday April 14 is Beamly.

Beamly offers a chance for fans to interact and follow their favorite shows, actors/actresses and even other fans right on their mobile device. In my estimation, YouTube is the best platform for discovering new content. This is now a way to show your appreciation of these trailblazers and see what they have coming next.

Currently, Beamly is taming up with over 100+ YouTube sensations including internet superstar Tyler Oakley. Other big names are to come as fans get closer than ever to the shows and personalities they follow each day.

Partnering with the stars of the fastest growing social network in YouTube is a great idea.

YouTube content producers strive to get that engagement with viewers and Beamly could be a big help.

“Fans want to engage with other fans while watching the TV shows that they love, even when the show is over," states Jason Forbes, EVP and Managing Director of Beamly USA. "Beamly is a place where passionate people can find the latest news, get spoilers (or not) and hang out with other fans of their favorite drama, comedy or reality TV. Moreover, they can always chat in real-time with other fans, and join in TV Rooms hosted by TV mavens, celebrities and passionate superfans."

Per Beamly, here is what you can expect:

• Discovery – Following shows, stars and users allows fans to discover new shows, related news/gossip and fans with similar passions and also receive personalized recommendations from Beamly

• Personalized Magazine – Based on what each fan is following, a personalized magazine including a rich stream of related articles, posts, videos and original content produced by Beamly’s own editorial team provides the most comprehensive content available to TV fanatics

• Community – A world of communities where stars and fans can connect and engage with each other around the TV shows, articles and topics they’re most passionate about

• Synched Experiences – Fans can interact with favorite shows while they watch across a new library of games and live experiences, leading to user engagement increases of up to 60 percent and session lengths exceeding one hour for the most engaged users
