Pit dungeons can have constructed within them the same lighting and decoration that can be constructed in dungeon corridors, junctions, and stair rooms. RuneScape players can make unique traps and have unique guardians in dungeon pits.
For pit traps, RuneScape players can build minor pit trap, major pit trap, and superior pit trap. Using an increasing amount of fire runes and requiring an increasing amount of money, these traps do damage to players. The higher the trap, the greater the damage dealt. Construction level of 70 is required for dungeons; higher level pits require a higher construction level.
RuneScape players can have a pit guardian in each pit dungeon room. The pit guardians were presented in order to the RuneScape player during love story quest and, are in order of lowest to highest as follows. Pit dog, pit ogre, pit rock protector, pit scabarite, pit black demon, and pit iron dragon. Pit guardians require construction levels of 70-97 and cost increasingly higher, with pit iron dragons jumping to 7.5m coins. Each it guardian has a construction level requirement, with higher guardians requiring a higher construction level.
