Japanese and Danish styles have enjoyed worldwide adoration for years now. They share similar design aesthetics of simplicity and authenticity making them a perfect pairing for a new collection introduced this week by BoConcept.
BoConcept collaborated on the new collection with designer Oki Sato of nendo. The objective was to create new functions and visual effects by bringing together the best features of each style. Oki Sato brought to the project the idea using origami, the traditional Japanese art of folding two-dimensional sheets of paper into three dimensional objects.
Style, comfort and functionality characterizes the fusion collection. On the collection and collaboration with BoConcept, designer Oki Sato says: "BoConcept's designs are very urban and very functional and have strong roots in the Danish design traditions. We liked that profile and our objective was to add a distinct Japanese touch to the BoConcept collection."
Together they fused the two styles into an amazing collection of sleek and modern pieces for the living room and outdoor spaces. Borrowing the idea of the Japanese aesthetic and merging it with Danish functionality the collection offers unexpected twists in materials shapes and colors. The result is a beautiful collection that will put a smile on your face.
The new BoConcept Fusion by nendo collection features a sofa, chair, rug, tables, wall storage system and accessories. The collection brings a sense of modernism to today’s home furnishings. Any of the pieces will be at home in an eclectic design style or a contemporary scheme.
The collection launched this week and is on display at the Tampa showroom located at 1208 E Kennedy Blvd #125, Tampa, FL 33602.
