Spring is here and there are many new classes for homeschoolers in Long Beach. Great Educational Experiences (gee!) is a learning center that offers safe, fun, and exceptional learning opportunities for homeschooled children. Great Educational Experiences is located at 3960 N. Studebaker Rd., #102 (next to Paint N Glaze).

Upcoming classes for April:

April 13: Ready, Set, Read! for ages 3-5 Fridays 9:30am-10:30am $50/4 sessions taught by Jill Shafer

April 23: Spanish for ages 5-8 for children with a bit of exposure to the language Mondays 11am-Noon $77/4 sessions taught by Amy Berger

April 23: Video game design for ages 8-12 years Mondays 12:30pm-2:30pm $100/5 sessions - Freshi Films

April 24: Writing for ages 9-11 with Ms. Erin Chianese - reluctant writers welcome! Tuesdays 10am-11am $60/4 sessions

April 27: Art with Ms. Brenda Benveniste - The Art of Baby Animals! for ages 5-11 Fridays 11am-12:30pm $115/3 sessions

Parents are welcome to stay with their children and enjoy a cup of coffee or there are nearby shops where you can get your nails done or catch up on your scrapbooking at Scrapbook Daisies. Get into shape with Jazzercise or even get a tan at Bronze Republic. There is also the brand new Jack’s exotic pet store that just opened. Also long time favorite Rezzini’s Pizza is right there where you can enjoy a nice pizza or pasta.
