New casino bankruptcy: New Jersey casino goes bankrupt

It's not very often that you hear of a casino going bankrupt. On Feb. 19, ABC reported that the Revel casino in New Jersey may have to do just that soon. It is the newest casino in the area.

The Revel casino has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March. They just opened less than a year ago, but obviously have been giving out more money than they are taking in which is not a good thing. It has to make one wonder how big people have won there.

This casino is doing a restructure which they think will help them out. The casino has not been doing as well as they expected and they are not happy with the results. Hopefully this can fix things for them before they go out of business for good. This will actually make 2/3 of their debt go away totally.

Do you enjoy the Revel casino when you take a trip? Sound off in the comments.
