Fans of Blizzard's digital competitive card game, Hearthstone, will now have a whole new single player versus AI mode along with a whole new batch of cards to be unlocked. At PAX East in Boston, Blizzard announced that the new game mode, called Curse of Naxxramas, will feature 5 different wings of dungeons that players will do battle in.
The first wing of the new game mode will be free for all players, with entry into 4 more wings being an unannounced gold or real money entry fee. Each wing will have a unique boss and unique cards that will be available for use directly after finishing the dungeon. If all cards are not unlocked they will still all be playable in the arena.
There will be a total of 30 cards to unlock in the Curse of Naxxramas with at least one new legendary card. A few of the new cards shown seem to be dealing with a the theme of meshing with deathrattles, making them go well with the ever popular 'Harvest Golem' and 'Cairne Bloodhoof' cards that seem to be a staple in almost all decks. There will also be new class cards to the existing 9 classes that will be awarded by doing special class challenges in the dungeons.
A few new tidbits will be released with the Naxxramas update that include a new game board for players to mess around with and still some unannounced bonuses and bosses.
