New beers are hitting the store shelves faster than consumers can keep pace. Even on a local level, it is difficult to keep track of the number of beers and new product releases. It’s great from a craft beer lover’s perspective because most craft beer fans like to sample new products. On the negative side, some new releases may get overlooked and we may not discover them until months later when- gasp!- the “new” product may no longer be available.
A New Beer for You
To help consumers stay informed about new products and trends, a group of beer loving guys got together and formed New Brew Thursday. The group is an online media operation and as its name indicates, the most important mission of New Brew Thursday is to keep consumers informed about new beer. Each Thursday, New Brew Thursday shines the spotlight on a new release. It could be a new amber ale from an established brewery like Sierra Nevada or a new pilsner from an unheard of brewery in Montana. But it is bound to be something new and interesting regardless.
Behind the Scenes
Who operates New Brew Thursday? Well, it happens to be co- hosted by four guys who love beer: Stephen Johnson, John Holzer, Matt Becker, and Dr. Bil Sysak. As these guys will tell you, they are not brewing industry professionals. They are just four men who happen to love great craft beer and like sharing their discoveries with the public.
