Gearbox Software announced today that a new round of hot fixes are now available for “Borderlands 2.” All systems now have the update ready to be applied, which will download as soon as players start up the game while connected to the internet. Internet access must then be kept for the changes to remain in effect as these fixes are meant as a temporary solution until the developer can deploy a full title update that must go through each first party’s certification process.
“Borderlands 2” has had a handful of these instant mini-updates now and the ability to quickly address game issues through hot fixes is welcome to console gamers who normally might have to wait weeks to see such changes otherwise. The full list of changes provided by today’s update to the game are as follows.
- The "Surprise!" challenge is now immediately visible and no longer hidden.
- Addressed some instances where Booster and Adaptive shield sound effects would not properly trigger.
- Fixed an issue where the 'Evolution' shield could incorrectly list a Recharge Delay of 0.00 seconds.
- PC: Item of the Day can now be selected via mouse in Seraph and Torgue vending machines.
“Borderlands 2” is out now on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC/Mac. All systems benefit from today’s hot fix update to the game.
