New ‘Bioshock Infinite’ video gives ‘In Search of’ vibe

On Jan. 28, Irrational Games and 2K released a clever video for the upcoming BioShock Infinite. The first part in the faux-documentary series shows what supposedly happened to Columbia, the flying city that the game takes place in. The video is done in such a way as to make it seem like it’s a real episode from a TV show from inside the game world. Today they released part two of the series, which focuses on the mythology surrounding the mysterious Songbird, an antagonist that chases the player throughout the game.

The Truth from Legend video below retains the “In Search Of...” vibe, being very similar in style and production value to the ‘70s show. It's definitely very interesting, but doesn’t reveal a lot of new information about the game itself. It’s just a cool homage to the classic ‘70s series, and helps to make the game world believable.

This chilling nursery rhyme is from the world of the game:

Songbird, Songbird, see him fly; drop the children from the sky. When the young ones misbehave; escorts children to their grave.
