New ‘BioShock Infinite’ trailer from Irrational Games

A new trailer for Irrational Games’ upcoming game, “BioShock Infinite” was released today, Feb. 19, 2013. The new trailer features the “Lamb of Columbia”, the young woman named Elizabeth that the player has to protect. In the trailer, it’s very clear that Elizabeth’s special powers are a source of alienation for her. Everyone is afraid of her, even Booker Dewitt, the main character who is controlled by the player.

BioShock Infinite” is a sequel to the highest rated first-person shooter of all time, “BioShock”, released in 2007, and the sequel “BioShock 2”, released in 2010. “BioShock 2” was created by an all new design team, although it contained members from the original team. “BioShock Infinite” is neither a direct sequel nor a prequel; rather it shares many of the design elements as the first two games. The game’s lead designer, Ken Levine referred to the term “BioShock” not as a specific location or setting, but a concept conjoined by two ideas: the exploration of a fantastical setting and the use of a large number of tools and abilities in creative manners to survive.

“BioShock Infinite” is set to be released on Mar. 26, 2013.
