New Bell Museum in Minneapolis hits bump: denial of state funding

Minnesota State Capitol from Wikimedia Commons

MNDaily reports that the Bell Museum was not included  in a $200 million bonding bill marked for projects at the University of Minnesota.

The 39.5 million project for the Bell Museum  is intended to move the facility to Saint Paul campus that would include sustainable design and create outdoor teaching environments. The project is funded in part by private donations, but it was expected that they would also receive some funding from the bonding bill.

You can donate to the museum online here.

Funding to Como Zoo and Conservatory was also struck from this bill.
