Even though New Belgium has recently broken ground on a second brewing location in Asheville, NC, they have not forgotten about delivering delicious, new seasonal beer, and we have their latest to share with you today.
According to information sent to Examiner, New Belgium Brewing has announced the release of their latest winter seasonal brew, Accumulation White IPA. With what is sure to be a fantastic ski season, Accumulation helps embrace the hope and expectation surrounding the incoming winter.
If you are a hops and wheat lover, then you will enjoy Accumulation White IPA. It is an unfiltered, white-golden toned brew that delivers scents of Mosaic and Amarillo hops. The bitter snap of this IPA helps center the easy peach and citrus flavors.
Grady Hull, who is the assistant brewmaster at New Belgium Brewing, described his experience tasting the brew and what beer lovers can expect from it.
"Typically the winter months bring darker beers, however we’re going against the grain this year by delivering an exciting White IPA.
"This beer is a hoppy wonderland. It’s big and bright, yet the addition of wheat gives it a unique twist and smooth finish," Hull said.
Accumulation boasts a 6.2% alcohol by volume and 60 IBUs. Additionally, to help celebrate the impending snow season in Colorado, New Belgium is running an all-expenses paid Colorado ski trip contest called Accumulate Hops.
This will give players rewards for certain things they do, like going online to NewBelgium.com, utilizing the recently released New Belgium Beer Mode app and going on New Belgium tours and events. If you're interested in participating, simply log-on to NewBelgium.com, login or create an account and begin participating.
Various clues for the contest will also be leaked out through New Belgium's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, and those will help contestants earn more points. The more badges and points you earn will increase your chances of winning the ski trip grand prize.
Enjoy the winter and see you all out on the slopes!
