Net-a-porter, the go to site for high fashion and wishful thinking has always had an addictive nature to it. Now it’s taking every woman’s favorite addiction one step further. They’re now adding a beauty department. You heard correctly…a beauty department! By adding its signature high end style to makeup, hair products, fragrances, nail polish, and skin care it launched Beauty: The Quintessential Edit yesterday March 20.
The company's managing director, Alison Loehnis, told WWD that not offering beauty was a disconnect. "By being at the front lines, we have an enormous amount of insight and exposure to talent and also product," she said.
The expansion into beauty will mean that customers and followers of Net-a-porter will now have access to high end top of the line beauty products from such companies like Chantecaille, Aesop, 3 LAB, Beauty Works West, Philip B, Ilia, Joya, Le Métier de Beauté and more.
The new addition will exist as an addition to the site’s already online shopping site along with the rest of the site's clothing and accessories. As the beauty section will be rolled out slowly, it will be closely watched by many and make the shopping experience for the perfect look even greater.
