It's been a while since we've heard anything of substance about Bayonetta 2, so the trailer attached to today's Nintendo Direct was a welcome surprise for character action and Platinum fans alike. This time we delve a little more into the stakes for the series' sophomore outing, of course in disjointed jump cuts that will likely only make marginally more sense when viewed in sequence in the game proper. Seriously, Japan, it's like you're trying to lose us here.
What we do know is that the story seems to center around a mountain that serves as a link between Paradisio and Inferno, and anyone who's so much as glanced at material from the first game knows that spells trouble. How exactly the neon, cornrowed vagrant boy figures into all of it is still a mystery, though. Answers likely not forthcoming for a while.
