While Wayne Manor is a vast sprawling mansion, the Batcave is Bruce Wayne's true home. A new set of screenshots released Monday give the first peek at the prequel version PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC series of games as well as the erstwhile butler, Alfred Pennyworth.
The Batcave will serve a major role in Batman: Arkham Origins as it will be the place where the Dark Knight can switch suits in between missions. Additionally, it will also serve as an access point to Challenge Maps and combat training during the game.
Alfred will also play a bigger visible role this time around. In Arkham City, the butler served as Batman's main point of communication but was primarily off-screen. In Arkham Origins, players will get to see Alfred on screen where he regards the early days of Wayne's attempts at being Batman as a folly and, in turn, Wayne thinks Alfred is trying to be the domineering father figure he doesn't need.
The latest set of screenshots (via AGB) also feature more of Batman pummeling bad guys and intimidating the Mad Hatter.
Batman: Arkham Origins is set to release to the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on Oct. 25.
