New artist: Danielle Aument

Though the year is almost over there is still some time left to check out new artists to listen to in the new year. Introducing Danielle Aument a singer/songwriter from Downer's Grove who started her career in theater who eventually joined the touring cast of Evita. But now she has left that behind to show off her talent for making music.

Her first EP Songs for You, is full of light, catchy pop tunes to put you in the mood to dance or just to make your day better. One track on the EP “All the Time” mixes classical violin with electronic sounds in order to make one infectious song that you can't get out of your head. And while most of the songs are uptempo there is one track that slows it down and really puts Aument's voice on display.

“Starlights” is a slow track with beautiful music that fits Aument's voice and really sets the tone for this mellow tune about a star filled night. This track may take you to another place and it will definitely put you at ease. Though Aument's voice may not be strong, she still has talent. She has a light, pretty voice that can only get better as she goes further in her career.
