New Apple iPhone 4s Revealed!

Apple never ceases to amaze me! They are the kings of PR. Whomever they hire to do their PR work should be commended. While on the heels of another announcement, the tension in the air is thicker than the Amanda Knox hearing. Will Steve Jobs make a curtain call?

After a long hour and ten minute wait,  iPhone 4s. NO iPhone 5!!!
Here are some of the key features of the new phone that looks like it's predecessor the iPhone 4.

  • iPhone 4S, the followup to the iPhone 4. Design is the same.
  • Graphics "aren't even available on home gaming consoles."
  • Dual-core CPU, twice as fast as the A4 for CPU tasks. Dual-core graphics, up to 7 times faster than the iPhone 4.
  • iPhone 4S: Retina display, A5 chip. Glass on the back.
  • AirPlay mirroring, a new feature that'll let you play games on your TV, via the iPhone. Wired or wireless.

  • "This is what our competitors call 4G. We're not going to debate it."
  • Faster downloads, up to 14.4Mbps over HSDPA.
  • The wireless system. Now the phone can "intelligently switch between antennas for better call quality."

Apple just introduced "Siri" an assistant that lives in your phone. You can ask it all kinds of questions such as "What is the weather for later this evening?" "Wake me up tomorrow at 6 am" and it will set it all up for you. You can ask it, "What's the best Greek restaurant in Phoenix, AZ" and it will sort them by rating. And then show you on a map where they are!

Prices are as follows: iPhone 4S, $199/$299/$399, pre-order in US 10/7, available 10/14, worldwide in December.

That's it! No new announcement for an iPhone 5! hmmmm more to come.
