All anyone could possibly say about this new ad that knows anything about Ron Paul and his past relationship with both Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater would be...... "Wow"! If an award was ever to be issued for a political ad that had the longest string of lies ever told in 1 minute of time, this new ad would easily take home the gold medal and hold a new world record as well.
This new 1-minute ad is paid for by the Emergency Committee for Israel, an organization most people have probably never heard of. It appears that this organization's website belongs to: Gary Bauer of the Family Research Council, Bill Kristol the Editor of The Weekly Standard and Conservative activist Rachel Abrams. Gary Bauer, a well-known conservative leader is the one to deliver the message in this ad that is chockful of lies, deceit and distortion. Mr. Bauer talks about being a Reagan conservative and a Barry Goldwater conservative and then goes on to tell one distortion after another throughout the entire ad.
FACT: Ron Paul was officially endorsed by Ronald Reagan in his Congressional runs and Ron Paul was one of only 4 members of Congress that endorsed Ronald Reagan's run for President back in 1976. (see video)
FACT: Barry Goldwater, Jr. endorsed Ron Paul's presidential run back in 2008.
FACT: Ron Paul was the ONLY member of Congress in 1981 to actually defend Israel for defending itself through the use of force.
FACT: The Republican Party's policies have changed so dramatically since the 1980's that Ron Paul seems like the odd man out when in actuality he is the ONLY candidate that truly acts like a Reagan Conservative.
FACT: Ron Paul is not hostile to the military, in fact, they have contributed more money to his campaign than all the other candidates combined.
FACT: Former Head of CIA's Bin Laden Unit, Michael Scheuer just recently officially endorsed Ron Paul because he states that he is the only candidate that understands and is telling the truth about Iran and our overall foreign policy. His announcement was highlighted on a recent segment of "Freedom Watch" with Judge Napolitano on Fox Business.
FACT: Several members of the 9/11 Commission have stated publicly over the last 10 years that the investigation was basically a joke and a cover-up to deflect them from finding out the truth of what really happened on 9/11.
Gary Bauer either innocently has no idea what he is talking about or if intentional is deserving of a loss of all credibility and integrity. If this was all part of an intentional and misleading agenda, then how much could this organization possibly have paid Bauer to tell this many lies and distortions jam-packed into a 1-minute ad? Does he really think that the majority of the American people are so ill-informed that they do not know any of the facts at all? If so, what a true insult to the voters of South Carolina where this ad is intended to begin running. Link to ad here.
